Original Eames® Wire Base Elliptical Table Designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller®


Charles and Ray Eames spent many years experimenting with wire rods, work that yielded a number of breakthrough products in the 1950s. They considered many shapes for this large table introduced in 1951, but their final choice was elliptical.

Vintage Design Charles and Ray Eames designed ‘Elliptical’ or ‘Surfboard’ coffee table. Made by Herman Miller the table features a white laminate top on a chrome wire base.
